Read Right Store Book sets you can use to help your young child become an excellent reader

Read Right has defined five stages of progression in becoming an excellent reader. The book, Read Right! Coaching Your Child to Excellence in Reading gives clear advice on how to work with your child to coach him or her through each of the five stages to excellence in reading and also provides an explanation of the theoretical constructs that support the Read Right methodology. (The book is also available in our store for $15, which includes shipping and handling.) In the book, the stages are referred to by the characteristics of the books required for each stage: Stage One, wordless picture books; Stage Two, highly predictable books; Stage Three, predictable books; Stage Four, minimal print books; and Stage Five, early readers. As your child learns the explicit aspects of the reading process in Stage One and is figuring out the implicit aspects in Stages Two, Three, Four, and Five, the environment at each of these stages has to change to reflect what is needed to maximize progress. Book Sets offered for sale in the Read Right store are configured to support the child's progress through each of the five stages and to determine when it is time to advance to the next stage. Each set can be purchased separately. Titles are unique in each set.

A letter that details the criteria for deciding if your child is ready for the next stage of progression will accompany each Book Set.
